Relais Villa Jacopone - Florence
Villa Jacopone – Charme Residence, is situated in Florence, at the foot of the hill of Fiesole, in one of the most quiet, suggestive and exclusive areas in town. Immersed in nature, among the olive trees and the cypresses, equipped with a swimming pool, the Villa boasts breathtaking views on Florence and the surrounding hills. Ideal for those who seek tranquility, comfort and privacy. The position of our b'n'b in Florence is unique - just a few bus stops away from the historical city-centre and from the surrounding countryside – which also makes it a privileged destination for museums, shopping and wine and food itineraries lovers.
It all began many years ago in London. Viviana had gone there to study English, as had Paolo, having just graduated as a mathematician. There, Fate brought them together and made them fall in love; they have been together ever since. Paolo has built his career as a company director, which has taken him all over the world and developed his innate flair for international relations as well as fulfilling his love of travelling, history of art and ancient civilisations. Viviana, up until the birth of her two children, worked in human resources in multinational firms. A natural explorer with a curious nature, she went on to work as a tour guide, honing her outstanding relational and organisational skills.
Based on these attributes, Paolo and Viviana started a B&B, Villa Viviana (www.villaviviana.it), on the typically Tuscan coast of Versilia, in their big family house. The business is now carried on by the children who, with equal enthusiasm and warmth, devote themselves to their customers, new and regular alike.
Some time ago, they made the decision to go back and live in Florence, a city much loved by Paolo since his youth and which has been in Viviana's heart ever since her first visit when she was 18. The aim was to find a residence that was big enough to house the family and to welcome travellers coming from other countries, wanting to visit the city and its surroundings.
The idea became reality with the splendid villa found in Florence, at the foot of the hills of Fiesole. A residence boasting breathtaking views, a place of unique beauty, bathed in light and greenery, with gardens and a pool, later painstakingly and elegantly restored to combine comfort, class and hospitality. Framing the villa, as in a painting by Ottone Rosai, are low walls, cypress and olive trees, a silent escape a few bus stops away from Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio.
The two youngsters of those days have now grown a little older, but they still possess the same bags of energy to live and to share the pleasure of hospitality. In their wonderful Relais Jacopone, with care and courtesy that is hard to find, they welcome new guests, ready to spoil them and make them feel home, so that their stay, however brief, may become a memory that they will never forget.
